About our lineage

Many people place great deal of emphasis on lineages. However, lineage takes a back seat to Ilia Pak and Master Sam Tam knowledge and Jordan Misner and Master Sam Tamability, i.e. to what is taught and the capabilities of the teacher.

When you touch hands with a high quality teacher or a true master there isn't any question about lineage because the entire lineage exists in that touch.

Master Tam is world renowned for his internal martial arts ability. He is famous for and highly trained in Eagle Claw, Yiquan, Taichi, Bagua, Qigong and other arts.

Sifu's unique style of teaching emphasizes yielding and softness rather than force.

We practice Yang style Tai Chi Chuan, as passed down from Yang Pan Huo, Yang Cheng Fu, General Zhang Xiang Wu and Dr. Chi Chiang-tao and Grandmaster Sam Tam. Another major focus of our practice involves aspects of Yi Quan's Zhan Zhang standing meditation as handed down from Wang Xiang Zhai, Han Hsing-Yuen and Grandmaster Sam Tam.

We meet twice weekly at the Tucson Chinese Cultural Center on River Rd. For more information

Windriver Internal Martial Arts Association is a non-profit organization and many of our members our also members of IMAAHE.
